Vagus Nerve Manual Therapy Intervention

This video is an overview of addressing Occipital/Atlano compression, which tightly correlates with the Vagus Nerve function. It is a review of a session I did with a client for their reference.

Additionally, the Vagus Nerve traverses the neck behind the Sternocleidomastoid muscle (the large muscle at the front of the neck), entering the torso behind the Clavicle.

Although hard to see in this image, it is the light yellow highlighted nerve.

From a Manual Therapy perspective, it is recommended to clear adhesions from this nerve path, paying special attention to the Occiput/Atlas/Axis area where the nerve traverses the skull.

Additionally, this nerve path should be well understood when applying therapeutic modalities such as LENS or Truvaga as a vagal regulation therapy.
